Established in 2009, The Mata Raj Kaur Institute of Engineering and Technology was founded by the MRK Education Society and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Government of India, Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Haryana and affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak/ Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewar, Haryana.
Instituted with the motive of imparting theoretical as well as practical knowledge in the field of technical education, the MRK College of Engineering and Technology offers a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering and Technology: (B. Tech.) Program in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Fire Technology and Safety Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers a 2-year Master of Engineering and Technology: (M. Tech.) Program in M. Tech Computer Science and Engineering, M. Tech Electronics and Communication, M. Tech Electrical Engineering and M. Tech Mechanical Engineering. Other undergraduate programs that the MRK College offers are a 3-year Bachelor Business Administration (BBA) program and 3-year Bachelor Computer Applications (BCA) program.
Apart from academics, the institute encourages co-curricular activities by putting together sports, cultural and technical events and organizes NSS camps as a part of its social responsibilities. Industrial visits are an important part of the curriculum and industry professionals impart knowledge with training and demonstrations under the Academic-Industry Interaction program. The campus network is managed by proxy servers, FTP servers and based on Windows 2008 server Enterprise.
